Happy 2019!! I’m not too late as long as it is still January right? I wish you a wonderful start to the year. May this year be filled with wonderful simple moments with your family and friends, may you all have health, successful projects, fun trips, patience, amazing meals, new lessons, laughs and happy tears, compassion, and perspective. I love the hope and energy that a new year brings.

Well, to start off the year here are a few things that caught my attention and thought you would enjoy knowing about-

ONE // Gucci Wallpaper. This wallpaper took my breath away when I spotted this shot on instagram. I knew they had home decor items (which are super chic but totally expensive. This pillow is a favorite and this chair) but didn’t realize they had wallpaper designs as well. I love this one in particular as the background color is so bold against the large scaled cranes. Go big or go home right? You can see all their wallpaper designs here.

TWO // Kevin Francis Designs. Since my One Room Challenge last fall I have been totally #obsessed with Kevin Francis Designs’ rugs. I used one in the bar area (you can see it here) and just fell in love with it. It is beautifully made and is of the best quality. The colors and maze design options are unique and ideal to ground a room.

THREE // Beaverbrook Hotel. I can’t remember where I read about this place but the photos were what grabbed me. What a chic hotel in the London country side with the prettiest interiors designed by Susie Atkinson. Winston Churchill used to stay here many weekends! It has two restaurants (one of them japanese run by an ex Nobu chef!). And you can stay in the Main House or Garden House (with less expensive room pricing) I’m saving this tip for whenever our travels take us to London next (hopefully it’s not too far off). Please let me know if you go!

FOUR // Flourless Chocolate Cake. A good flourless chocolate cake is a wonderful thing- it is low in calories and can fulfill your most ardent desire for chocolate, is not filling and it can taste like a real dream. My go to recipe has been this one (which is always a hit among my guests and SO easy to make!) but am always looking for another good one. Maybe the orange zest will be the perfect addition?

FIVE // Branch Earrings. You know me and my love for a good pair of earrings. These have the potential to be a uniform staple. Light for everyday wear but chic and statement-making for cocktails and dinner with friends. And brass is just a classic.

Happy January!! Do you follow me on Instagram? Please do! I have plenty of room inspiration there!
