I hope your quarantine is going well and that your mood is positive and happy. If it is not so, don’t worry maybe tomorrow will be a better day. I think we all need to be patient with ourselves, this is not easy but there are so many wonderful silver linings that we have to try and have these lift our spirits. I hope to lighten your mood with a links to a few cute tops for those Zoom work calls, fun recipes, articles, ideas….. (REMINDER: If you click on the pink title at the top it will take you to my blog. It is nicer to read the post from there!!)

WFH (Working From Home)

I bet many of you have been in many Video calls in these last few weeks. I always make sure my background is tidy and that I wear a cute and relaxed top or some cute hair accessories. I love this one and this one. Also, this blue one is so pretty. And I’m obsessed with the sleeves on this one. And don’t forget the hair accessories. If you just have a tee on, a headband is perfect to dress up your look. Who doesn’t love pearls?

When I’m not on a call I’m usually wearing sweat pants and a tee-shirt….unless I dress up and decide to wear an easy throw-on dress. All the ones I have are super old but I found some cute ones to share with you. This lemon one is perfect to add some cheer to your day. This one is on super sale and I love the color of this one.

I have added more options at the bottom.

COOKING Lately

I have been cooking non-stop. Many repeated recipes but always a few new ones as well. I made this for dinner Friday night and it was so fun to make and such a big hit. I had never made gnocchi before but am now a convert and am sure I will be making them more often. Thank you to Molly for sharing her recipe (she is an amazing wedding photographer and has the best instagram and must follow her).

I’m trying this healthy treat later on today. I think my daughter and I will love them. Also, I found a better banana bread recipe than the one we had been making for years. This is it! It is really good. Recently, I have been making it in muffin form and this cuts the cooking time down to around 20 minutes. Also, this dessert might be fun to make. If they are good enough for Ralph Lauren, I think I will like them.

Need more inspiration? Here is a list of different chefs who are offering cooking classes online.

LITTLE PURCHASES

As I was organizing my kitchen cabinets I realized I needed to invest in a few new pots and frying pans. I had always been curious about this brand, Great Jones. I’m so happy with my new pots! Plus they are so beautiful, making cooking a little bit more exciting.

Also, I purchased this super chic pearl and straw visor perfect for those long walks and beach days ahead (fingers crossed!).

OTHER FUN Links

Dreaming about traveling? Here is a fun list of movies taking place in Paris.

After so much handwashing….this hand cream is supposed to be really great.

I’m still obsessed with skin care during this quarantine. Have you seen the Anthropologie skincare products ? There are so many interesting things. I want to try everything!

MOMA has some interesting online art courses.

Here is the infamous Ina Garten Cosmopolitan cocktail recipe. We have it on repeat here (tip: I use diet cranberry juice to save a few calories and it tastes just as good).

Also, Mother’s Day is around the corner. I will have a post up soon with some fun ideas for mom. We need to pamper them.
