Interiors || A Vision in White

I have always loved color and have been very bold in using it in my home.  My previous home had fuchsia curtains in the living room alongside blue walls, my powder bathroom was turquoise and the entry a bright yellow.  Oh! and I was forgetting all about my plum colored dining room.  And even though I loved living in that space bursting with color my current home is very muted....a lot of greys, browns, dark blues, and black and white.  I'm not sure why, but lately, very serene and muted color palettes are catching my eye.  This fabulous home in Nashville with it's very simple color scheme has gotten me very excited.  The interior design by Chad James is crisp and flawless and of course the photography by Alyssa Rosenheck is perfection.

There are so many things I love about the first photograph.  I love the combination of the black walls and white ceiling, the sitting arrangements and I have always been a big fan of placing artwork in front of bookcases.  The second room with the long white sofas and white curtains and walls just seems like the perfect spot to spend hours chatting with your many friends. This seems like a wonderful room to entertain in (with white wine only though!) I just love the simplicity of it all.

I like the idea of placing a mirror in front of a window.

After seeing this image I want to add some tall golden table lamps to my dining room table stat.

Frame something in a triangular shape. Genius!

 The marble washbowl! Swoon!

This last image is probably my favorite.  The vision of those chairs against the white reaches my soul. See more of this beautiful home here and here.
