Shades of Pink and Red (or rooms that remind me Valentine's Day is near)

I'm so enamored with all these rooms because they are bold and confident.  Not many people would opt for a pink living room or a red sofa, or both together!  Additionally, these rooms are relaxing and lively and a break from the norm which is always exciting in my book.  Since Valentine's day is just around the corner I thought I would round-up a few rooms with the colors of love- pink and red.  Here are some creative ideas to make these colors work for you.

I love this pink sofa against the brown wall and with the pops of yellow.  What great color palette.

This dining room is just fabulous.  The pink walls and those chandeliers create such a glamorous statement.

Pink and red and ideal for a girls room or woman's office.

I love these more muted pink and red tones. They are very sophisticated.

If you can't commit to a full wall or piece of furniture bringing red and pink accessories or art works beautifully too- especially if its such a striking piece as this painting above.

There is no better place than a beach house to have fun with color in this way. I love the partial use of wallpaper to highlight a wall and add interest.

And gotta save the best for last.  I just love Ines de la Fressange's living room.  The bright pink walls with the black and white art is fabulous.  This space feels so effortless yet very chic and elegant.

And talking about love, are you excited about the Fifty Shades of Grey movie coming out this Friday?  Here is a sneak peek into Mr. Grey's apartment in the movie.  Who is going to see it this weekend?
